Am I an Athiest? Hell yes, which does not mean I have an absolute belief in a set of manmade rules. Following rules doesn't make you a good person.
The bible is a set of manmade rules. I do not live my life by a set of rules. I live by an ethical moral code which I have established with myself.

These are words I hear when I find that people are starting to realize that there is no such thing as 'God' or "Allah" or whomever. The voice in your head determining right from wrong is your conscience. 'God' is in your heart and mind as an individual. 'God' is not listening to your prayers at night. You are simply creating a wish list which everyone does, religious or not.
You have entire control over your path. You are the one that makes the decisions and executions. Granted, your environment is a factor, you lead yourself to your destination. Not 'God". It is all inside of you.
Honestly, I am fed up with people not giving themselves enough credit. When you accomplish something great and you thank 'God', you are thanking yourself. Although you may argue, 'he' led me here, YOU found it. YOU had a goal and YOU succeeded in accomplishing that goal.
We are all humans looking for happiness in this fucked up world, and you can find peace and love without conforming to a social standard.
I am absolutely NOT trying to offend anyone or any religion. Everyone is intitled to their own opinion. Myself being fascinated with science and this earth I personally decided that no one was listening when i was praying at night. I will take control of my own destiny and live my one life to the fullest. I just hope that there are people in this world who are doing the same.
